Private Prong Insertion

  1. Start with your elastics facing you. Note that on our current collars, we do not put a gap in the middle of the elastics. Just skip those middle ones. We like to leave them empty to protect the dog’s trachea. 7. Settle the second prong flat against the collar, connected to the first prong.
2. Take one prong and slip both legs of the prong through the two sides of the first elastic, sliding them towards the center of the collar. 8. Take another prong and slide its legs through the next open elastic. Flip it backwards toward the legs of the second prong.
3. When they are through the first elastic, continue on to the second elastic with this first prong, sliding the legs through both sides of the second elastic.  You may need to "scrunch" a bit to get it through. 9. Squeeze the legs of the second prong and push them into the two rounded sections on the top of the third prong.
4. When the prong is through both the first and second sets of elastics, flip the prong backwards towards the end of the collar to settle it flat against the collar. The first prong on either side of the collar is the only one that goes through two sets of elastics. 10. Continue placing new prongs until you have placed half of the total number of prongs. At that point, turn the collar around and begin the task again. Note that you may need to adjust the placement of the first prong on this side to match the other side.
5. Take another prong and slide it's legs through the next open elastic. Flip it backwards towards the legs of the first prong. 11. Remember the first prong on each side goes through two elastic bands!
6. Squeeze the legs of the first prong and push them into the two rounded sections on top of the second prong. 12. AND YOU'RE DONE!
